Pine & RePurpose Community Initiative

Letting go should feel simple, & knowing where your belongings go should feel meaningful.

Pine and Repurpose is a community initiative by Pine & Purpose designed to help gently used belongings return to the community.

We collect, review, and distribute usable items to local nonprofits, community partners, and individuals in need.

Our goal is simple. Make it easier for people to give responsibly while ensuring items continue serving a purpose.

Why we created

Pine & RePurpose

As Professional Organizers, we discovered a fragmented system.

Letting go of belongings was not the challenge.
Knowing where those items should go was.

Repeatitively, we saw the same pattern: people were ready to release items that no longer served them, but those items still had life left in them.

The process of finding the right place for them, however, was complicated.
Multiple organizations, limited hours, specific drop-off days, and strict donation guidelines created friction.

As a result, our clients held onto items far longer than necessary, occupying valuable space in their homes and requiring them to expend time & energy.

Pine & RePurpose was created to change that.

A simple, responsible solution designed to encourage people to downsize and declutter while finding a way to give back to their community.

How it works:

  • Fill out a Donation Request Form and upload images of the items your ready to donate.

[We require submission approval. To ensure our volunteers are not spending unnecessary time, transportation costs or disposal expenses, we review submissions before scheduling pick-ups.]

  • Once your submission has been reviewed and approved, we will coordinate a scheduled pick-up date along with a designated arrival window.

  • Place approved items outside in an accessible space for our volunteers to pick up your items. You are not required to be present at the time of pick-up.

  • Items are stored and sorted, sourced & directed to appropriate channels:

    • Nonprofit Organizations

    • Local Families & Community Members

    • Pine & Purpose Clients with Specific Needs

    • Community Partners

How We Support the Community

Supporting Our FREE Service

To keep Pine & Repurpose available as a free service, some collected items may be stored and resold by Pine & Purpose. These resale items help offset transportation, sorting, and operational costs, allowing our volunteers to continue dedicating their time to serving our communities.
